Cautam pe google, cu o nostalgie diabolica, imagini si texte care sa-mi re-aduca aminte (daca mai era nevoie) de ce NU era mai bine inainte… Si-am dat peste un articol din Time, din editia 87 (nr. 11, din 18 Martie 1966), cu moaca lui Ceausescu pe coperta (da, Ceausescu pe coperta revistei Time, incredibil, stiu). Eram gata sa inchid pagina, cand am zarit cu coada ochiului cu ce incepea articolul respectiv:
“The floods came early to western Rumania, spilling in thunderous green torrents from the snowy Carpathians, slashing roads to ribbons and turning towns into archipelagoes. Food was short, drinking water unsafe. It was a time when people looked to their government for action, and the Communist regime of Rumania was quick to respond.” 😀 😀 😀
Adicatelea exact aceleasi inundatii pe care nenea hidrologul Iliescu n-a facut nimic in 10 ani de guvernare sa le controleze.
